Jawaiian Rainbow by Marshall Fergerstrom
Weird Wreaths – in a good way. It is always so much fun every year to stop by Honolulu Hale to look at the wreaths that made for the Holiday Wreath Contest. This year’s theme is Kalakoa Kalikimaka – A Holiday of Colors. I especially enjoy the creative use of recycled or found materials for their wreaths. There were the leaves, seed pods, dry fruit, twits, sun shade fabric, color bottle caps,… and even eye balls-plastic ones. Happy Holidays. Enjoy! More Photos

Crown flowers come in off white and lavender in color. Flowers bloom year round and the tree is relatively small in size and very low maintenance. Crown flower lei are one of those quiet and elegant lei. To add a little splash, one may want to twisted it with a strand of roses, pikake or pakalana lei.

I love this song by Beat Boopers Children. After I heard it for the first time, I was hooked. It’s even got hula dancer!
I like the flowers, I like the daffodils, I like the mountains, I like the rolling hills, I like the fire side, when the lights are low – bum-di-yada, bum-di-yada, bum-di-yada, bum-di-yada…

We made our grave site delivery to Diamond Head Cemetary on Memorial Day and boy, what a sight. Graves were doted with flowers and flags. I would say the graves are almost as decorated with flowers as much to during Easter or Chinese Ching Ming.
